About The Facility
This unique, private, upper level Eventing farm is based in Virginia for the summer months and South Carolina for the winter.  The owner and rider has won top titles at the top of the sport, and puts her horses at the absolute forefront, always. There are no boarder's or public clients coming in or out of the farm so it's a calm and peaceful environment. With plans to be at Land Rover in the 2* Long in the spring and a few 3* and 4* events on the calendar this is a fast growing young professional who needs to add one additional member to her team. This facility is home to eleven competition horses, with three individuals dedicated to their care. You would be joining the professional rider, her family, and her mature and experienced barn manager. Lovely accommodations are available near the home farm of both properties (North and South). These two cities are never too hot or too cold plus you'll get to travel as much as you are interested in to many of the biggest events in the country! 
Job Description
This position is looking for an individual who wants to learn beyond grooming roles. You should want to learn more about eventing, nutrition, fitness, FEI, and competing horses at that level. You should be passionate about the care of horses, barn management, and have a desire to learn! This is a year round, full time, position with incredible pay, and is best suited for someone with a true passion for eventing. Experience isn't required, this team is willing to teach! You should have a basic understanding of horses, and be confident around them. Hours are roughly 7:30am to 3:30pm, 6 days per week. There are no night check responsibilities here! Everyone pitches in on this team, and they want someone who matches the work hard energy with the desire to grow and succeed! The horses are treated as family here and they really want someone who will love the horses as they would their own. This position is the dream role if you are looking to experience the top levels of the eventing discipline, you will learn far more than you would at most roles in the industry.

Responsibilities Include (willing to train):
- Daily Feeding
- Positive Attitude and willingness to learn
- Some Cleaning of Stalls (not a ton of horses and a full team to get it done!)
-Turnout
- Blanketing - when needed
- Grooming
- Tacking horses for professional rides
- Maintaining overall cleanliness in the barn
- Helping pack and unpack from shows
- Ability to recognize any signs of distress or irregularity with the horses and communicating with the owner regarding them
Bonus Skills; But Not Required
-Body clipping
- Medical Care
- Wrapping
- Hauling
- Braiding
* Attending up to 4* Events including Land Rover Kentucky and others, whenever able in exchange with the Manager (not a requirement if not desired)
Benefits

$900-$1200 per week depending on experience and skill - Opportunity for advancement!
1 week PTO after the first 12 months of employment
