We are looking for an assistant trainer and rider who is comfortable riding and teaching up to the 3' level in hunters/jumpers and equitation. Additionally, you will be riding a wide variety of horses and ponies to keep them fit and in work when not being ridden by the students(children through adults) of this program. This program thrives on the local show and after school market, so being open to a wide variety of skill levels is important. Experience with everything from green ponies to the quirky training rides to experienced imported show horses is important. Our ideal candidate will emulate two words: realistic and ambitious. We want to develop a young professional through the ranks and set them up for a great career in the equine sport. Housing, pets, equines, and families can be accommodated on a case by case basis. Salary is DOE, but is far above the national average for a local lesson barn assistant role, plus as much ride time and free lessons as you desire!
