With 6 stalls and ample turn out this is a great facility for this private family and couple close friends to set up their equestrian dream. Home to junior hunters, division ponies, Eq finals qualifiers, and sales pony projects - this is a top facility with extremely high quality horses/ponies. In addition to the individual riders' goals, the private ownership has desires to keep a steady string of quality sales ponies. A full A rated show schedule is expected at Fox Lea, WEF, WEC, Bob Thomas, and out of State venues. With goals to attend Junior Hunter Finals 2025, and already scheduled to Pony Finals 2024 and beyond.
Job Description:
We are looking for an advanced, kind, and experienced Home Pro Rider and Trainer to lead this Division Pony - 3'6" hunter/eq program for the client's children and a few additional clients(read friends!). Our ideal candidate would lead a program of 3 - 6 horses through lessons, development, pro rides, management, and training. You would put together lesson plans for all students and equines to grow their equine knowledge and prepare them for upcoming events. Additionally, you would be in charge of all of the farm duties, equine care, and other assigned responsibilities. This is a very family friendly atmosphere, and the owners' would love to see someone in this role who enjoys horses, caring for them, communicating, and learning. You would work alongside a major trainer at the top shows in the country, making this an excellent developmental role for a young professional who wants to learn about coaching at the top shows, and build their resume. Ownership desires to be very hands off and to see their children, sales prospects, and clients succeed. Passionate kids and parents that want to be supported on their quickly growing junior/amateur careers. Currently showing in divisions like: Large Greens, Medium Greens, Regular Mediums, Division Smalls, Junior Hunter 3'3"-3'6", 11-14 Eq, 15-17 Eq, and Performance.
This is a role that will require some former experience independently teaching a program and personally or professionally showing up through the USEF ranks. But, it is not a role that requires a been there, done that professional head trainer. We would like someone who is confident in their abilities to coach at and through the Hunter/Eq levels, but also is able to work alongside top trainers at the major shows to gain exposure for themselves and put the children, horses, and ponies at the best chance for success. You would independently run the home facility and meet up with the big trainers at the major shows.
