Job Description
We are looking for a confident, connected equestrian sales professional to lead the Florida & East Coast sales expansion of this high quality feed & nutrition brand from the Central US! The ideal individual will have a proven background in sales to the equestrian markets, with a wealth of contacts in Florida and the SouthEast. This person should be comfortable speaking to both local distribution channels (Feed stores, etc) and private equestrians with a consultative sales approach for their clientele. This person must be a self-starting, driven individual with experience managing their own book of business and expense reports. Although this is a remote opportunity, candidates can expect to spend 40-60% of their time in-person. Ideally this person is located in Florida, with easy access to the major hotbeds and a willingness to travel periodically to the northern states. Prior education/sales experience in feed & nutrition would be a major plus. Job Duties
- Travel independently throughout Florida and the East Coast territory to find opportunity and demand for products at both feed suppliers and private farms
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with current distributors and future customers within the region.
- Keep a finger on the pulse of local markets in order to generate new business, plan sales excursions, and increase sales with current customers
- Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of horse nutrition and feeding.
- Communicate promptly and effectively with internal leadership regarding goals, success, and KPIs
- Communicate promptly and effectively with warehousing/distribution channels to ensure appropriate fulfillment times
- Attend major equestrian events both locally and nationwide
