This is a mandatory in-office role. Our office is located just a couple of blocks from downtown Ocala on W Hwy 40/E Silver Springs Blvd. Occasional travel to trade shows, horse shows, and local events may be required/available!
Job Description
In this position, you will be responsible for creating high quality matches for both our clients and candidates in all levels and facets of the industry. We represent positions in all disciplines of equestrian sport and across all professional avenues from Animal Health to Show Management and beyond. We take pride in creating connections that will be lasting and fulfilling for all parties. An individual with a deep, multi-faceted understanding of the industry will have a leg up in this opportunity! Professional, hands-on experience in a variety of disciplines or industry facets will be looked on extremely favorably. Ability to speak Spanish would be a tremendous plus!
While formal sales or recruiting experience is not necessary, candidates should feel comfortable with the idea of cold-calling top names in the industry. This position requires exemplary communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
Job Duties
As a team of only two, the following duties are the primary responsibilities but by no means a comprehensive list of all possible activities/duties
Recruiting (Candidates)
- Source skilled candidates for open positions via social media and industry connections
- Conduct in-depth phone interviews with jobseekers and candidates
- Evaluate candidates to determine their suitability for each role based on their skill level, work history, communication skills, and any specific factors laid out by each client
- Review riding videos and other relevant documentation provided by candidates to ensure aptitude for open positions
- Conduct professional reference checks on candidates
- Thoroughly document findings on each candidate to ensure accurate representation to clients
- Be able to summarize findings in a detailed written presentation for client review
- Act as facilitator and mediator throughout interview & offer stages
- Provide support for candidate throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive experience
- Conduct general screenings on candidates who are not actively applying for open roles - and work to source opportunities that may be suitable for their needs and experience.
Sales (Clients)
- Identify quality opportunities and organizations to pursue as clients of Equistaff
- Perform targeted outreach to prospective clients via cold-calling, email outreach, and social media
- Provide highly personalized customer service to prospects and existing clients, ensuring their needs are understood fully and are being met to the best of our abilities.
- Carefully document client needs in order to accurately portray each position to prospective candidates and to internal team
- Maintaining consistent communication with clients through the hiring process including facilitating interviews and travel arrangements
- Follow-up with clients throughout the hiring process and the 3 months following successful hire to ensure satisfaction
- Troubleshoot client concerns as needed
Additional Aspects
- Promote our self-service online job board (Equistaff.com) to jobseekers and clients
- Provide customer service and troubleshooting to equistaff.com users
- Collaborate with the team to discover new avenues for increased business
- Learn and promote additional Equistaff service offerings as company continues to develop
- Attend tradeshows and other local events as needed
