Job Description
We are looking for an ambitious young professional who is interested in a hybrid admin/hands-on role in the Eventing community! This person should have exceptional communication skills and be willing and able to promote the equestrian programs at this facility via online marketing campaigns and direct communications within the local community. This person will be responsible for assisting the Head Eventing Trainer with timely communication with parents, students, outside trainers, and their online presence, and may be asked to assist the Western and Hippotherapy programs from time to time as well. In addition, this person will be able to receive ample riding education and saddle time, along with the ability to teach beginner lessons if desired. Prior teaching experience is desired, but not required for this role! There will be an employer-paid educational stipend provided for lessons, show fees, clinics, etc - along with guidance and education from current staff in all facets of the position. The ideal candidate will be looking for a long-term opportunity to grow with and within an exceptional program in an up-and-coming area of the US equestrian scene!
Job Duties
Admin tasks:
- Client communication (lesson parents, and new incoming students - getting people "set up" in our systems)
- Show communication with staff and clients regarding entries, payments, deadlines, schedule changes, etc
- Communication support with working students as program grows
- Assistance/oversight of budget and invoicing for accuracy
- Assisting with show organization tasks as needed
Business development tasks:
- Social Media marketing and platform management
- New client outreach
- Community outreach - ensuring positive relationships with neighboring facilities, may include difficult conversations on occasion
- Support for the overall foundation marketing team as needed
- Light event planning - team dinners, community activities, schooling coordination, etc
- *Possibly support for budding Pony Club partnership
Equestrian Tasks:
- Schooling and exercising of client horses and lesson horses (dependent on skill level, comfort level, etc)
- Teaching Beginner/Intermediate Lessons
- Assisting with show preparation both at home and on the road
- Showing when available as experience permits
- *Fill in for Head Trainer when she is traveling (as skill level permits)
- *Possibility to grow low-level H/J lesson group if skill & desire exists
