Job Description
We are looking for an energetic and motivated finance professional who is interested in a career opportunity with a well-established, close-knit team! The ideal candidate will have experience working in a highly varied accounting setting, and will be willing to "wear all the hats" while handling this organizations day-to-day financial operations. This person will work in close connection with the company's outsourced CPA firm for the more complex tasks. In the day-to-day, this person will be responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing, AP processing, monthly reconciliation of ledgers/bank statements/practice software, and routine communication with the CPA firm. Ideally, the overall monthly reporting and budget planning for each department will be moved in-house in the future, as this person grows and develops in their professional career.
Job Duties
- Process Accounts Payable invoices
- Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis
- Maintain accurate records and filing including federal and state payroll reporting
- Review & Verify invoices against department purchases
- Process FL state sales tax monthly
- Reconcile payment software (Quickbooks Online) with Practice Management Software (HVMS)
- Communicate regularly with CPA firm on monthly & annual financial reportings
- Assist with review & implementation of policies & procedures
- Weekly check run & monthly bank reconciliations
- Additional duties as practice requires & experience grows

Job Requirements

Job Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years professional experience with an accounting/financial focus
- Willingness to partake in ALL levels of accounting activities
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Prior experience with Quickbooks Online a plus but not required
- Willingness to learn with the team under the guidance of the CPA firm 
- Equine background preferred but not required
