A piece of equestrian tranquility nestled amongst the hustle-bustle of the Los Angeles area, this 75 acre show venue is home to over 50 events and clinics each year! There is something for everyone here, whether they are an avid equestrian, a curious spectator, or someone looking for a casual afternoon trailride through the park. With permanent stabling for up to 500 long-term boarders, this facility is also home to several trainers from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds. Large and private event spaces, cafes, VIP spectator and wine lounges, and small equestrian boutiques round off the offerings at this world-class venue for visitors from all walks of life. Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, versatile, and upbeat HR professional with a passion for the Equine Industry to join this lovely Los Angeles facility! This person will be responsible for overseeing all HR operations, as well as assisting with the overall office/administrative tasks of the venue as a whole. This person should be willing to greet and assist long-term clients & show customers while attending to their standard duties as needed. The individual in this role must be comfortable having difficult conversations and enforcing company policies objectively and consistently. This person will work closely with team leaders on the training, hiring, and retention of their staff, and offer support when needed in the management of employees. Applicants with experience processing payroll and assisting with daily billing and AR activities would be extremely favorable. This person MUST speak Spanish, and be familiar with terminology/challenges specific to equestrian communities and events. This is a small, dedicated, and excited team of equestrians looking for the perfect HR glue to keep the operation strong and the team thriving!

Job Duties
- Ensure consistent enforcement of policies, both new and old.
- Follow company HR policies to assure compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations on both the state and national level regarding employment. 
- Administer various HR plans and procedures for all facility personnel
- Assist with recruitment efforts, including advertising of positions, interviews of applicants, and onboarding of new hires.
- Coordinate training and management plans with & for team leaders in each department, including performance reviews, promotions, transfers, terminations, and yearly trainings. 
- Train all staff on company Customer Service policy.
- Keep records of benefits plan participation such as insurance, 401k, PTO use, and changes to current staff including tracking employee statistics for government reporting.
- Administer benefits such as life, health, dental, and disability insurances, pension, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
- Appropriately greet and assist patrons, vendors, and visitors of the facility in the office
++ assist with the processing of payroll and Accounts Receivable if possible

Job Requirements

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from 4 year university
- 3+ years experience working in HR
- Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and related state/federal regulations required
- 2+ years equestrian experience in any capacity
- Workday experience highly preferred
- Experience administering benefit programs
- Strong organization and problem solving skills
- Spanish Speaking Capabilities strongly preferred as much of the maintenance and stable staff is Spanish speaking
- HR Certification preferred
- Excellent communication skills and professional presentation standards
- Above average computer skills required, including experience with ADP, ABI, or other HRIS Systems
