About the Facility
This position is set on a beautiful, private H/J facility 10min from the World Equestrian Center. Each horse on this property has private turnout, and one paddock in particular is assigned to the 3 horses in this program. The facility is well set up to make daily care easy and efficient. There is on-site, climate controlled laundry and tack facilities, haygain hay steamer, and minimal client interaction in this opportunity. The owners of the property are FEI competitors, but this program is mostly focused on bringing up a pair of talented youngsters at this time. This facility splits its time between FL and NJ and would love a year-round team member, but is happy to entertain a seasonal candidate as well.

Job Description
We are looking for a sole-charge groom for 3 lovely warmbloods in a self-care situation at a larger SJ facility. 
With only 2 horses in training, and a 3rd on paddock rehab currently this is the ideal opportunity for someone wanting to decompress from the hustle and bustle of a busy show barn. Ideally, candidates will be accustomed to dealing with the textbook "chestnut mare", and have the attention to detail necessary to care for a rehabbing horse as well. This is not a program with a rigorous therapeutic regimen (lasers, magnets, treadmill, etc) but does have show-quality expectations at all times. One horse is on overnight turnout, and the other two share go out in shifts during the daytime. One horse is diabetic, and shares Haygain steamed hay with the trainer's horses. 

Overall, this is a low-key, easygoing atmosphere with a kind owner just looking for a little more freedom and flexibility in her days. This is a 6 day per week position, starting at 7:30am with about 4-5 hours of work per day. For someone looking for year-round employment in NJ, this can be structured as a full-time role. This is not a riding position.

*Employees for this opportunity will work as an agent of Equistaff for initial period, and will be subject to drug and background screening prior to first day of employment*

Job Requirements

 Job Duties
- Clean 3 stalls in AM, pick again PM
- Feed horses AM & PM 
- Manage turnout schedule for owner's 3 horses
- Clean and refill water buckets
- Maintain tidiness of stabling area for owner's 3 horses
- Assist owner with tacking and untacking personal horses 
- Clean tack and do laundry as needed
- Night Check responsibilities a +
- Braiding a + 
Job requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in a high end show facility 
- Able to handle fit, spicy competition horses
- Familiar with tacking and grooming SJ horses
- Fluent in English
- Reliable transportation
- Positive, easy-going personality
