Job Description
We are seeking a highly educated and skilled sales professional with a strong background in equine and/or canine reproduction science to join the US team. The ideal candidate will be well versed in the latest reproductive practices in the equine industry, and be willing to foray into the canine and companion animal circles during the off periods of the equine repro calendar. This person will ideally have versatile sales experience to accommodate both large veterinary practices/universities, and smaller individual facilities. This person will be responsible for maintaining an in-depth understanding of the companies products and services, and should be comfortable educating clients and prospects about new products or the company on a whole. This person will lead their own sales efforts, including generating new contacts, managing inside and outside sales efforts, attending tradeshows, and maintaining current connections. This position should anticipate a 50/50 split between in-person visits and office time, with travel reimbursement and company supplied vehicle as needed. This is a hybrid/remote opportunity, following the initial training period which must take place in-person in Verona, WI.
Job Duties
- Source and secure new accounts across the US in both Equine and Companion Animal Markets
- Build rapport with clients through demonstration of in-depth understanding of all products and services offered by the company, tailored to their specific needs
- Generate continued sales from current clients by keeping them up-to-date with new developments and products
- Monitor and share information on competitors and advancements in the industry
- Strategize with current team on new product development and growth of overall business
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other events in the US and periodically in Canada.
- Work closely with sales and marketing team members to drive growth.
- Monitor the development of sales, prepare reports, and evaluate the performance of new products
- Continue education on both equine and canine reproductive practices as needed
