Job Responsibilities
- Grooming - Horses should be ready to head down the center line at any time!
- Turn in/out
- Making and administering feed, supplements, and medications
- Bandaging (standing and exercise)
- Trailering to and from shows
- Packing for shows and seasonal relocation
- Lunging, jogging, handling horses as needed
- Ensuring feed/supplies are stocked
- Night Check responsibilities daily
- Communicating with owner and support staff (vet/farrier/bodyworker,etc)
- Assisting with care of facility & meeting with contractors/maintenance staff as needed
-*There will be times this person will be sole responsibility over the horses as owner is traveling, must be seasoned and comfortable enough to handle emergencies and other sole-charge responsibilities during this time.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience as a professional groom
- Able to be sole-charge responsibility for UL Dressage horses
- Willing to learn and adhere to FEI rules and regulations (if not already known)
- Must be willing to relocate seasonally to Tryon, NC and Ocala, FL
- Must be able to clip, braid, lunge, and administer IV/IM injections
- Must be self-starting and possess above-average communication skills

Description of Housing Provided
2 Private rooms in a large on-site guest house complete with garage, bathroom, and kitchen. On occasion, the owner's guests/coach will visit and stay in the Master Suite of the guest house. These individuals will have nightly dinners with owner and it will not be the Groom's responsibility to entertain!
