Charlotte, NC

Posted: 01/02/2025 Industry: Breeding Job Number: 167 Pay Rate: $ 65000.00 - $ 90000.00

Job Description

About the Facility:
In south central North Carolina a private warmblood breeding operation hosts multiple quality imported stallions and mares. With breeding lines originating from Denmark these Danish warmbloods are quickly growing popularity in the USA for their excellent minds, affectionate personalities, and athleticism. The 5 and 10 year plan has some exciting developments in store for this beautiful mountain farm, so this is a great opportunity for qualified individuals to get in at the ground level and watch this facility and their own professional name grow as the farm does. The professional ownership team deeply cares for their animals, and their goals for the future.

Job Description:
The family forward facility owners are looking to bring in an extremely experienced trainer in the Dressage or Eventing Disciplines to produce the stallions and their offspring to the top levels of competition in arenas like Tryon, Devon, and competitions across SC, NC, VA, and MD. Advanced experience with the warmblood breeding industry, stallion performance and safety, and young horse training is essential to success in this position. This forward thinking breed is incredibly intelligent and requires a confident, but gentle and patient hand to produce them to the best potential. The facility focuses on creating kind and gentle ammy-friendly animals that are quality and perform with the best. You would be responsible for all equine management, starting, training, competing, and eventually managing sales of homebred foals. Breeding experience is not required as the facility has a team for that, but being comfortable with breeding stallions, mares, foals and ability to keep them focused on their job is key. Eventually this program will expand with up to 15 foals on the ground on a yearly basis, so team management, training, and teamwork are essential skills in the right individual. This is a private facility, with no boarder's or clients, so it is a quiet and peaceful day to day life. Perfect for those that are just all about the horses, first. The ideal candidate is looking for a long term career in performance warmblood training and will grow as the facility grows.
