Job Description
We are looking for a trustworthy, capable General Manager who can take ownership of the people, processes, administration, and business development behind this farm's future. The ideal candidate will be comfortable hiring, training, scheduling, and managing staff; setting clear expectations; resolving conflict; and managing emergencies.
The incoming General Manager will help guide the farm through its transition from A-Circuit Hunter/Jumper training to a more Thoroughbred and/or community oriented focus. The direction of the operation will be shaped around the successful candidate's strongest skills and most viable plan. That may mean building a new training program, developing the breeding program for racing stock in VA, beginning a 501c3 thoroughbred aftercare program, hosting clinics and local events, or creating a thoughtful combination of these opportunities. Job Duties
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the farm, including staffing, scheduling, horse and client logistics, supplies, vendors, and administrative processes.

Working under the overall Equestrian Director, the Therapeutic Program Director will design, fund, launch, and manage the facility's therapeutic programming. This is a position for someone who is experienced, established, and knows how to build a therapeutic program from the ground up. This individual will collaborate closely with the Founder, Equestrian Director, Stable Manager, finance team, and community partners to build sustainable mounted and unmounted services.


This role will not oversee general stable operations, horse care, facility maintenance, or the broader equestrian staff. Instead, it will focus on program development and delivery, grant writing, fundraising, community partnerships, and management of professionals working within the therapeutic program.

Program Design and Execution

  • Design and implement mounted and unmounted programs serving individuals with physical, developmental, behavioral, and mental-health needs, including children, veterans, and individuals in addiction recovery.

Job Description 
We are looking for a compassionate, experienced equestrian to join this facility as the Rehab Specialist of the owner's 3 forever horses. Aged in their early teens, the horses here have been trained up under Parelli principals, and do not have any competition goals or rigorous demands. Though after a particularly trying 2025, the team is in need of someone well versed in performance therapies and rehab work to strengthen the team and better the lives of the horses on-site. This person will be responsible for collaborating closely with the existing team and veterinarians to devise a rehab and ongoing maintenance plan for the horses, along with maintaining the highest standards of care alongside the rest of the team. The owner is open to exploring any devices/therapeutic modalities that this individual may be experienced with, including PEMF, Laser, Cryotherapy, myofascial release, training with a Pessoa rig, and more. With a typical work schedule running 7:30am-4:00pm just 4 days per week, there are generally at least 2 individuals working in the barn at all times. The ideal individual will have an easygoing personality and will be willing to collaborate closely with the existing team, but be accustomed to providing meticulous care for the horses at all times. This person must be well experienced in western riding principals, and have a gentle, horses-first mentality. 
There is a team of maintenance professionals who handle all facility upkeep, fence fixing, etc - and the cattle and donkeys are not the responsibility of the equine care team beyond basic oversight in the event of an emergency. This is truly a position centered around providing the best possible care for the 3 horses on-site for the duration of their lifetimes!

This is NOT a leadership position. There will be no training or management of additional staff, and applicants MUST be willing to observe and adhere to the existing structures and quiet nature of the team here.

Schedule will be Sunday/Monday/Tuesday with the 4th day either Saturday or Wednesday, with a reasonable degree of flexibility depending on other staff. Ideally this position will begin Labor Day weekend.

This quiet and picturesque 200 acre thoroughbred breeding farm in some of Maryland's most beautiful country is looking for a new Farm Manager to join their long-standing team! This is a facility with incredibly high retention, most employees lasting 10 years or more. This facility primarily has top quality thoroughbred broodmares, foals and yearlings - though most of the breeding and foaling out is done in Kentucky. On average, the winters are on the quiet side and summers are the busy season at this farm with anywhere from 20-50 horses on site depending on the season. This farm prides itself on having very well adjusted and well behaved young stock, in no small part due to their consistent care and handling. This is the kind of position one can call home for many years to come! 

Job Description
After 30 years with this quality thoroughbred breeding program, the General Manager is retiring, and we are looking for an exceptional individual to fill his shoes! Main duties of the position will be the oversight of care for the yearlings, foals, and broodmares on the farm, though there is generally a small number of racing age residents as well. All four members of the staff take part in the overall maintenance of the facility, including the General Manager. The owner of this program has been in business for 60 years, and dreams of developing a breeding program that will produce Book 1 Keeneland babies. There are 27 stalls on-site, and the owner hopes to have 10-12 stakeswinning broodmares producing 7-8 foals per year to sell or retain for racing. The majority of foaling is done in KY, but may occasionally be done in MD depending on the match. The General Manager will be the primary responsible party for first aide, scheduling, supply ordering, and general staff oversight.
Hours are generally 6:30am - 4:00pm Mon-Sat, with abbreviated chores on Sunday running 6:30-8:00am and 2:30-4:00pm. Each member of the team gets 1.5-2 days off per week
Job Duties
- Hands-on oversight of all care activities including feeding, turn in/turn out, cleaning and painting feet, grooming, and handling foals/yearlings
- Designing feed and handling plans for each horse's unique needs
- Ordering feed and supplies

Certification(s) in manual therapy, acupuncture, or ISELP would be a major plus, and experience as a competitive equestrian or racetrack veterinarian will be looked on favorably. This position comes with the ability to attend National and International caliber competition with clientele (having previously attended the 2024 Olympic Games as both private and Team DVM!), and learn from one of the best in the business while growing a practice from the ground up!
We are anticipating this individual will ride along with the Primary DVM for the first year of employment while they are in the US for training and education purposes. Once appropriate (anticipating after first year) a secondary vehicle will be purchased and the Associate will be able to build additional clientele base.
